About the Game

In ColoRise you start in a bland, grey village. There are people out and about, yes, but they look scary. By collecting seeds and caring for them, you can make the town a bit more colorful. And suddenly your neighbors might seem a little bit more friendly, maybe even helpful.

Can you find a way to gather all the red seeds and plant them in the town center?

How to Play the Game

Move around by clicking. You can interact with seeds, planting spots, and water buckets or other water sources by clicking on them. Once an NPCs is ready to talk to you, you can initiate the dialogue by clicking on them.

You will find special red seeds along the way, which you will need to win the game, but you won't be able to pick them up right away. You can get them after a bit of progression.

I love it! didnt find the 8th seed tho.

Thank you for your comment! I hope it brought you some enjoyment regardless!

Really cute game! Super relaxing and I love the concept. Unfortunately I was not able to finish the game due to a couple glitches with the red seeds. Some red seeds wouldn't register that they were being planted, though they would be taken out of my bag. As well as I had red seeds that just disappeared from the world after getting the red seed bag.

Thank you for your feedback. And I'm terribly sorry about your experience. Those bugs are unknown to me, and I hope I can find and fix them.

theory:main character has a fear of the outdoor neighborhood and new people, but the sight of flowers and nature gives her comfort, and this is just how she sees things, and as the strangers compliment her on her good work they don't seem as scary anymore.

While it was not the initial intent, I realized relatively early on that this mechanic would work relatively well as a mental health metaphor. Be it depression, social anxiety or something else, with plants as a coping mechanism.
I have to admit that this interpretation did indeed influence my writing of the dialogues a bit, for example how she describes how the other people scare her at first and seem friendly later.

So yes, you are not far off.

Lovely game! Controls were a tiny bit frustrating at first (particularly for skipping through text), but it worked well once I got the hang of it. Chipped in a small amount - hope you keep making games :)

Thank you so much. This is really motivating for me!

Hiiii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it :), hopefully it's helpful to you :D

-The main story/concept for the game is quite interesting and ends up being pretty engaging.

-Visually the game looks pretty well and fits the theme of the game perfectly.

-The gameplay mechanics are simple, but that's what the game needed so good job, you've found a good balance between making gameplay fun without overloading the game with meaningless mechanics :D

-Pretty relaxing experience, I'll be happy to see the concept you've explored with this game on a bigger one :D

Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)

Regards

Thank you for you feedback. I really appreciate it.
